As well as dancing as a child Michelle has been taking regular ballet classes for the last twenty years and dances to an advanced level. Michelle received part of her ballet training under Serena Cundari; a former soloist with The Australian Ballet Company. Over the last ten years Michelle has worked for the New English Ballet Theatre and Lyric Dance School in London, and the Maillot Rose School of Theatre and Dance in Leeds. Since September 2022 she also works as a Classical Ballet Teacher with the Academy of Northern Ballet.

 

As well as obtaining a degree in Psychology with Biology at Leeds Beckett University, Michelle has completed her level 4 & 5 diploma in dance teaching; achieving a distinction with the British Ballet Organisation (bbodance). 

 

Michelle attends regular continued professional development (CPD) teacher training sessions with bbodance. Currently she has completed her CPD training for the all of the primary ballet grades, ballet grades 1-8, intermediate foundation and adult ballet. And most recently Michelle was accepted onto the ATAP teacher training course with The Royal Ballet School.

 

As a registered teacher with bbodance Michelle has had a full DBS check and completes regular safeguarding courses with the NSPCC.
