Introduction to Ballet
The first bbodance ballet grade designed for ages 3-4 years. In this grade your little one will learn how to demi plié, tendu, gallop, skip etc. In this class the focus is on capturing their imagination with the use of props and fun games as well as developing their foundations of ballet technique.
PRE-PRIMARY
The second bbodance ballet grade designed for ages 4-5 years. In this grade your little one will learn the basics of ballet with steps such as piqué, spring pointes, sauté, galloping, skipping etc. Our classes are fun and interactive and we pride ourselves on creating a warm and positive learning environment for your child. PRIMARY
The third bbodance ballet grade designed for ages 5-6 years. In this grade your child will cover the basics of ballet technique. They will learn how to port de bras, galop, tendu, piqué, glissade, sauté, balancé etc. We create a fun and interactive learning environment for your child with group tasks as well as props and the use of imagery to aid their learning.
GRADE 1
At this grade we will cover the basics of ballet technique covering the positions of the feet, glissé, rond de jambe, retiré, arabesque, head positons, chassé, spring pointes etc. Students are grouped based on their ability rather than their age therefore the age range for this class is 7+ years.
GRADE 2
At this grade we will cover the basics of ballet technique covering pirouette coordination, glissade, sauté, pas de chat, petit jeté etc. The age range for this class is 7- 12 yrs.
GRADE 2 - Teen Ballet Class
Designed for teenagers completely new to ballet or those who have completed their grade 1 examination. At this grade we will cover the basics of ballet technique covering pirouette coordination, glissade, sauté, pas de chat, petit jeté etc. The age range for this class is 13 -17 years.
GRADE 4 - Teen Ballet Class
Designed for teenagers at an improver level to ballet or those who have completed their grade 3 examination. At this grade we will cover more challenging ballet technique covering pirouettes, complicated petit allegro and grand allegro. The age range for this class is 13 -17 years.
